Interchange 2008: 1NService Shines in Orlando

1NService recently wrapped up its third annual Interchange Conference in Orlando, Florida, and its members are still feeling the energy of the event. Celebrating their tenth anniversary, 1NService staged their largest event to date, hosting nearly 150 members, clients and strategic sponsors at this once-a-year collaborative event. The event brought together a diverse group of thought leaders and technology experts to discuss the primary goals of 1NService, building a true collaborative community.
Principal speakers included; Andrew Sage, VP Worldwide Channels Marketing Cisco; Bill Bozeman, President and CEO PSA Security Network; Thomas Donovan, President Panduit Corporation; and, Paul Cronin, CEO of 1NService. Each of these industry leaders spoke in an open forum moderated by Heather Clancy of SWOT Management addressing the changes in the industry and how the collaborative model is becoming more prevalent across business lines. This format was highly interactive giving attendees the opportunity to participate in many ways, including the opportunity to address the panel as well as share their own insight into how collaborative efforts have helped their enterprise. 1NService is more than just collaboration… it’s an intelligent collective. The reason why it works - there's implicit trust among the members and there's a combination of both loosely and tightly coupled progress toward collaboration. Interchange 2008 also marked the tenth anniversary of 1NService. The original membership was comprised of six members who had a unique vision of how they could share ideas, products and services to create a unique entity that could help them compete on a national level. Now, there are twenty-eight members across North America, who are doing collaborative business with one another on a consistent basis. "I am proud to see how far 1NService has come. We began as six and are now 30 companies functioning as a full business entity. It's also exciting to see the quality of our member companies and to have a variety of represented interests from both vendor and supplier sides of business." stated Tom Gobeille, CEO, Network Computing Architects. Tom’s sentiments were echoed throughout the event when members were able to point out how many collaborative deals they had done over the past year and what types of involvement they received from fellow members. The range of involvement spanned from best practice sharing, technology transfers, client enhancement, vendor discounts, and even talent services supporting many different languages.
Interchange 2009 promises to be a larger event with more involvement from the supplier community, and predictably, more members. "I always love coming to 1NService events.
