Tim Hebert1

Tim Hebert - Chairman 

Oscar ‘Tim’ Hebert has always been a visionary. Over the past two decades, Hebert has acquired a wealth of experience and firsthand knowledge in the leading edge information technologies sector. Tim has become a much sought after speaker and consultant for his expertise in devising strategic technological solutions to help national and international companies. He has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Atrion Networking Corporation since 1990, when he and his partner co-founded the company. In October 2006, Hebert assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Atrion as the company transitioned.

Hebert serves on numerous technical councils and boards for such manufacturers as Cisco Systems, RSA, The Security Division of EMC, Packeteer, and 1Nservice. In September of 2006 Hebert was also appointed the role of President/Chairman of the Board for the Rhode Island TechCollective, and in January of 2008, Tim was named Chairman of 1nservice. Hebert also serves as a member of the Chief Executive Officers Club. In each of his functions he is called on to provide his vision to help these entities face the new challenges of technological changes as well as spearhead growth tactics.

Tim La Fazia

Tim La Fazia - Vice Chairperson

Tim La Fazia is the Founder and CEO of Infrastructure Development Corporation (www.idc-mcs.com).  He has over 20 years of international experience in strategic business planning, policy development, technical design and management of wireless telecommunications and information technology enterprises for both commercial and government clients.

Prior to founding IDC-MCS, Tim held several key technology positions including President and CEO of Integrated Data Centers, and Vice President of Technology and Director of Program Management for Reliant Ventures and RVI Telecom.  Among his many executive consulting positions, most notable was his role as Technical Director for Suncom/AT&T Wireless and Technical Manager and Director of Program Management for T-Mobile Communications.

Tim's practical knowledge and creative vision has been an integral part of developing and delivering cutting-edge technology solutions and lines of business for EDS, Dell, Cisco and others all over the globe.

 Dave Casey

Dave Casey - Secretary

Dave is a co-founder and current CEO of Westron Communications in Dallas TX.  Dave has served in various roles since its inception in 1985, including Director of Technical Services and VP of Sales and Marketing.  Prior to founding Westron, Dave served as Regional Sales Director for Infinet Corporation (now a division of Teleglobe Canada) and as a zone sales manager in Dallas/Fort Worth for Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys).  Dave carries P&L responsibility for the day to day operations of Westron, complementing his many years in sales and marketing positions in the technology industry.  In addition to his role at Westron, Dave has served in the mentor program for StarTech Early Ventures, the major technology incubator in North Texas, specializing in the networking and VoIP space.  He is a sought after speaker, presenting at many forums in the Southwest region, primarily in the subject areas of IP Telephony and IT Security.  Dave serves on the technology advisory board of several major networking manufacturers including Adtran (NASDAQ - ADTN), Motorola (NYSE – MOT), and 1nService, and has published multiple white papers and case studies centered around the application of advanced technology to build profitability in the enterprise.  Dave graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo’s School of Management with a BS degree in Business Administration.  He is an active member of the community as well, serving in multiple leadership positions at his church, participation as a corporate sponsor in the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk, and as a nationally certified EMT and CPR instructor.

   

John Breakey - Treasurer 

John is the co-founder and CEO of UNIS LUMIN, a technology outsourcing and systems integration company headquartered in Oakville, Ontario.  With a strong management/financial background, John has grown UNIS LUMIN from a home-based business into a major player in the IT industry in Canada.  In 1998, John co-founded 1NService.  Headquartered in Seattle, 1NService’s primary focus is to provide clients with a network of like-minded companies across the continent to service clients territorial needs. John is a regular speaker at industry trade shows and webinars, serves as a network industry consultant, writes for Healthcare Communications and Computing Canada magazines, and frequently contributes topical articles for publication in other trade journals.

  David Austin 

David Austin - Alliance Committee Chair

David is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Smartnet Inc., Smartnet Inc. is a Maryland based Enterprise Integration firm focused in the federal government marketplace with corporate certifications from the SBA, which include; WBE, SDB, HUBZone, and 8(a). These set-aside qualifications allow Smartnet to engage in unique sole-source task opportunities within the government procurement process. Coupled with the 1NService affiliation, Smartnet can truly provide second-to-none technology solutions nationally to our government clients. David is responsible for strategic vision, customer and vendor relations and oversees all sales and marketing activities for Smartnet. His ultimate focus is on the sales organization and providing the tools and support to drive consultative led selling solutions. This approach insures that Smartnet follows the customer’s lead in determining the company’s direction on products, services, training, and image. His emphasis on continuous improvement and accountability to the customer are key enablers in positioning Smartnet as a quality, value driven organization. David has been in the IT hardware and services industry since the mid 1980’s, and has been involved in the government marketplace since 1989. He graduated from Kutztown State University in 1984 with a BA in Marketing.

Bill Arnett

Bill Arnett - Intercompany Business Chair  

PRESIDENT & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER for Longview Systems.

 Bill Arnett has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry in the UK and Canada. He has held various IT management positions in large organizations within the manufacturing and energy industries. More recently, Bill held a senior role in a leading Western Canadian IT services organization (Pangaea Systems) and spent two years as the Senior VP and Chief Operating Officer for the Canadian division of a leading Application Service Provider.

At Pangaea, Bill was responsible for developing corporate strategy, developing organizational goals and objectives, and ensuring targets were achieved. He was also responsible for representing Pangaea to the financial community, major customers, government agencies, shareholders, business partners and the IT community.
